Kaiju Go! A Japanese Monster Film, Art & Toy Showcase

August 26th, 5:00 pm – Midnight

Kaiju Go!

Kaiju Go! is a unique event created to help build a thriving kaiju community in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. This Japanese monster showcase will highlight the films, art, and toys of the genre through exclusive screenings, special guest appearances, a curated list of high quality vendors, and an atmosphere that is as fun as any tokusatsu flick! The inaugural Kaiju Go! event will take place at the historic Downtown Cowtown at the Isis Theater on August 26th and will be headlined by a double feature of the beloved 1964 classic, Mothra vs. Godzilla, and the wacky and whimsical Godzilla vs. Megalon, celebrating its 50th anniversary! Attendees will not only get to watch these staples of Showa era Godzilla films, there will be an interview and Q&A with kaiju artists, Bob Eggleton and John Yurcaba IV! In addition, Kaiju Go! will have some of the area’s top kaiju toy vendors and artists so that you can go home with rare collectibles, one-of-a-kind art pieces, or that Godzilla grail you’ve been searching for the last few years. All of these amazing elements will be housed in a beautifully renovated 1920’s theater and upstairs speakeasy lounge, making sure this will be a kaiju experience like no other!
